What is the opportunity?

In this role, you will play a significant role in the production and verification of financial data to produce financial statements within prescribed deadlines.  You will identify and resolve reporting problems and works with the business units to ensure corrective action/s and proper procedures are in place. These positions work closely with coordinating groups and internal groups for processing and/or reconciling of relevant transactions within their respective business units.  You will place a high priority on accuracy and timeliness. In addition, you will play a lead role in managing client onboarding and transition initiatives while managing the line of communication internally between reconciliations and processing teams via inbox categorization.




    What will you do?

    • Processing Mutual and Pooled Fund Transactions in a timely manner for Pension, ICS, Insurance Clients while ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
    • Reviewing Trade Wire Instructions and reconciling transactions / recording transactions in to custodian platforms
    • Meet the expectations and requirements of internal and external client and communicate with investment manager / Fund Sponsor / Custodian on day to day transactional issues relating to Fund Subscriptions, Redemptions and Income Distributions
    • Investigate issues relating to the administration of the client account on a timely basis
    • Attend client meetings as required and support client onboarding initiatives / projects
    • Reconcile holdings and cash as needed in investigating/reconciling issues or suspense accounts.
    • Assist in assigning responsibility for tasks and decisions; sets clear objectives and measures; monitors process, progress, and results; designs feedback loops into work.
    • Review internal processes and tracks measures of success to team objectives and goals.
    • Uses rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions

    What do you need to succeed?



    Must-have

    • University degree (Finance, Commerce or Business)
    • 1 – 3 years’ experience in the financial services industry
    • Proven problem-solving skills
    • Knowledge of Global Client reporting products and services
    • Ability to work effectively in team and cross-functional environment
    • Strong supervisory and interpersonal skills
    • Knowledge of IIS systems preferred


    Nice to have

    • MBA or CPA, or industry related courses/designations
    • Canadian Securities Course
