Account Executive - Custom Software Sale

An Account Executive for custom software is a results-driven sales professional responsible for managing the entire sales cycle, from generating leads to closing complex deals and nurturing long-term client relationships. Their primary goal is to drive revenue growth by understanding client needs and proposing tailored, value-added software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospecting and Lead Generation: Proactively identify and engage prospective clients through cold calling, networking, email campaigns, and following up on marketing-generated leads.
- Pipeline Management & Forecasting: Manage a robust sales pipeline using CRM software, track all sales activities and client interactions, and provide accurate sales forecasts to management.
- Negotiation and Closing: Lead the negotiation of contract terms, pricing, and agreements to close deals and achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly sales quotas.
- Account Management & Growth: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships to ensure satisfaction and retention. Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional features or services within existing accounts.
- Market Insight: Stay current with industry trends, competitive landscape, and new technologies to provide strategic guidance to clients and internal product development teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven Sales Success: A track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and experience in managing complex sales cycles, preferably in B2B software
- Consultative Selling: Expertise in a consultative sales approach, focusing on understanding the customer's problems and aligning solutions to address those specific needs.
- Communication & Presentation Skills: Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and persuade decision-makers.
- Technical Acumen: A solid understanding of the software landscape, product offerings, and how technological solutions can drive business efficiency.
