Overview

We’re seeking an Account Coordinator who is passionate and knowledgeable about experiential brand marketing.


This role will support the account and creative team in managing day-to-day relations with Playbook’s clients. This person will work to ensure seamless planning and execution of events through vendor negotiation, staffing, site & permit planning, F&B fulfillment, budget management, etc. They should have hands-on experience of running successful events, have excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, and be able to juggle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee planning, production and execution of events, from large events to small promotions.
  • Assist in the definition and creation of event goals, while keeping client and consumer needs in mind, to ensure event success.
  • Demonstrate an understanding and a passion for our clients’ industry, business, consumer and brands (many times by taking initiative to independently investigate and stay on top of this information, as well as share it with other members of the team).
  • Serve as an event and program planner, responsibilities include, but are not limited to: pre-event consultation and planning, run of show development and event flow, event promotion and registration, printing and shipping materials, budget management, travel arrangements, staffing, and post-event reporting.
  • On-site duties, include ensuring proper set-up and signage display, onsite promotional staff management, AV testing, supplier management, and event schedule management.
  • Assist in managing event calendars, project timelines, and event budgets.
  • Build and distribute regular pre-event status reports and post-event reports.
  • Assist the Playbook Creative Development team by actively contributing to brainstorming and creative ideation sessions.


Basic Qualifications

  • 1+ year(s) of relevant work experience in event marketing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or relevant field of study.
  • Driver’s license with everyday access to a car, willingness to drive/travel and ability to work independently and autonomously.
  • Ability to work from our Etobicoke office minimum 3 days a week.
  • Computer proficiency in Canva and Google Software including Sheets, Meets, Drives, and Slides considered an asset.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills with an innate attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated success in event management and project management.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Work experience in the alcohol beverage industry.
  • A career path that demonstrates increasing levels of responsibility and proven success delivering measurable marketing results.
  • Ability to manage time and juggle multiple priorities to execute high quality deliverables.
  • Skilled negotiator with proven experience finding creative ways to do more with less, and a track record of staying on budget.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and highly cross-functional organization.
